Window Interfaces
The heart of Go is the board.
The Go Assistant provides many ways of setting up the board you
will use for your various activities.
The Internet Go Server (IGS) is a server accessible via the
internet. Located at address
igs.joyjoy.net,
IGS uses a telnet based server at port 6969 to allow players
around the world to play Go with each other. The server sends
information to these players in two different formats, text and
client. The Go Assistant, when used to connect to IGS, will tell
the server to send information in client form and present the
information to the user in a more appealing graphical interface.
Joseki, Fuseki, Problem Collecti
ons, and Game Collections are
stored in a document which allows for the easy entry of
variations. The view of this document includes a nodal map of all
the variations in existance.
